Field Day Committee, Kirk Musselman K9MSG
The committee continues to explore potential sites should we need to relocate or find a more suitable location for 2026. Kirk reviewed the sites under consideration and the site qualifications required. It is desirable to have field day in Schaumburg , either at the same location used to this point or another, if needed.
Construction Project, Cliff Sowka K9QD
Potential Construction projects still being explored. There is an option to offer the members a project to build a battery box designed by Robert Kocourek (W9RKK). Due to the relatively high cost of materials, Cliff will poll the membership to assess the interest level within the club.
EmComm Report, Howard Mitchell KD9WSV
With the Schaumburg Septemberfest completed, activities will again pickup within the EmComm team. This will include testing of the radio at the Emergency Operations Center as well as additional simplex testing.
Radio Hill Gazette (RHG) – Eliot Libner N9EPA Editor
Discussion continues on the challenges associated with the production of the RHG and the possibility of changing to a different format.
Publicity – Dennis Calvey KD9HIK, Chairman
Dennis updated the status of the upcoming Schaumburg Safety Day activities and the table planned for the club including radios and documents for distribution to the public.
Youth Engagement Kirk Musselman, K9MSG Chair
Events to date have been very successful and appreciated by the scouts. A big event on October 20 in Bartlett is being planned and requests are already coming in for next year. The Board acknowledges the success of this new program and the significant work done by Kirk to get this communicated, planned and staffed.
Programs- Don Dewar, KD9NJR
Working on next meeting program potentially related to upcoming election
Social Program – John Douglas, KD9KSH Chairman
John is planning the club’s holiday party to be held in January. He suggested again going to the Pollyanna Brewing Company in Roselle which was a very successful location last year. He will confirm availability and communicate early planning to the membership.

New Business
Kirk Musselman, K9MSG, delivered the business cards he designed and gave them to the club secretary Howard Mitchell, KD9WSV for distribution. All agreed they looked fantastic and will be distributed to club members as activities warrant. Howard will hand out cards at upcoming club meetings and let members know how to request additional cards.
The Board reviewed the proposed nominations for all club offices and for the 2 Board vacancies that will be up for election at the Annual meeting in November. Howard will create a proposed ballot and get Board approval via email for publication to the membership.
