John Zietlow K9WIC explained we have no near-term events yet anticipate our support for the ChicagoLand Marathon will be requested (same weekend of Dayton Hamfest).

Rob Glowacki N9MVO and Terry Jarnholm AE9TJ Repeater Committee:  both 2M and 70CM systems performing well.  Migration away from ATT’s DSL data line to DSL Extreme is underway with installation completion expected in a week or so.  Our newly purchased FTM-300DR machine will be physically installed into our equipment cabinet at the pump house once the pipe’s configuration is complete.

Construction Project (CP):

Don Dewar KD9NJR reports attendance continues to recover from the earlier shutdown.  It has been noted December’s schedule has a conflict with Christmas Day for the normally occurring session on a fourth Saturday. Therefore it is decided to hold our normal December (2) sessions with altered calendar:

·         Second Saturday:  December 11th    as normal

·         Third Saturday:      December 18th    instead of December 25th

VE Testing:

John Shofield AC9JS reported candidate test results for November 6th:  One candidate accomplished upgrade from General to Extra.  Results were scanned to PDF, uploaded to W5YI and enjoyed a one business day turnaround.   Next session is scheduled for December 4th.  Thanks to Matt Walsh AC9IG (Webmaster) for his responsiveness in publishing VE Sessions.
