John Schofield AC9JS reports no current candidates for this month’s FCC exam session.  It’s possible the VE Team could be available at the conclusion of our current Technician Course already underway.

Barry Friedman K9FMB reports Nets continue to be well attended.  We are in need of a host for the second Tuesday of the month TechNet.

Dennis C. Calvey KD9HIK Publicity Chairman provided an update from Park District management:  the Tennis Plus roof construction w/ HVAC, metalwork, painting, and flashing are expected to complete around mid-October.

Holding off on ordering End Fed Antenna & matching kit until we have a better idea what geography we’ll have when rooftop construction is complete.

Facebook is traffic low, but that’s OK. Currently about 73 ‘followers’ with frequent submissions from Roberto (WA9E).  We did not publicize the Technician Class on the SARC page because it was apparent that we would get full registration from the Daily Herald article & calendar listing.  We will publish the General Class.

Nominating Committee Reported Officer Slate for the November Election with Sample Ballot to be sent to SARC-ALL in separate posting.

 

 

We’re in need of membership’s willingness to step forward and offer their candidacy for these open leadership roles.

 

 

 

John Schofield AC9JS suggested we consider Critical Roles where club officers in critical roles are provided with such considerations as possibly waiving annual dues during service terms.
